Fall into Winter
As the weather turns cold, I sink into the peace of all that winter means to me. I love the winter days that allow me to focus inward to the very root of myself. Not so different from the plants I love, I need this time of contemplation. As of today, I have no idea what next spring will bring. I do not know what I will be doing, what land I may be working, what seeds I may be sowing. I accept this uncertainty with thankfulness and expectation. All I need right now is to focus on my roots pushing deep into the earth. This is my foundation, which will sustain me through the days and years ahead.
